Mauve Marigold Floral Hand Block Print Cotton Fabric

A muted mauve-brown ground carries a tangle of apricot and mustard marigolds, their stems curling into ivory vines that loop across the cloth. We block-print this in our small workshop using carved wooden blocks and azo-free pigment dyes, which is why the petals sit slightly raised and a touch uneven — that's the hand of the printer, not a flaw. The cotton is a mid-weight 44 inches wide, soft to handle but with enough body to hold a gathered skirt or a pleated curtain. It's the kind of moody, autumnal floral that looks beautiful made into an A-line dress, a long tunic, or a pair of bedroom curtains for a south-facing room.
