Buying fabric by the yard
Our cotton is sold by length. Choose the number of yards you need and we cut it as one continuous piece — usually up to around 6 yards in a single run, depending on the design — so the print runs uninterrupted. (We do not offer fabric swatches at the moment.)
Fabric width
Widths vary from cloth to cloth, so please check the individual product page for the exact width before planning your cut.
How much fabric do I need?
A rough guide — your pattern, size and the fabric width will change this:
| Project | Approx. fabric |
|---|---|
| Simple top / blouse | 1.5–2 yards |
| Skirt | 2–2.5 yards |
| Dress / kaftan | 2.5–3.5 yards |
| Cushion covers (pair) | 1 yard |
| Curtains (per panel) | 3–5 yards |
Matching lengths
Block prints carry natural variation in placement and tone. If you need lengths to match, buy them together in one order so they are cut from the same run.
Shrinkage
Cotton can shrink a little on the first wash. If exact finished measurements matter, pre-wash before cutting — see the care guide.
