Yashodhara Textiles is a small hand block-printing studio in Jaipur, India. We print 100% cotton by hand and make it up into finished pieces ourselves, so one team takes cloth from blank to finished — and stands behind every order.
What hand block printing is
A design is carved into a wooden block, dipped in colour and pressed onto the cloth by hand, repeat after repeat — a separate block for each colour, lined up by eye. There is no machine printing: every length is built by hand, which is why no two are ever quite alike.
Everything under one roof
Printing, cutting and stitching all happen in our own studio. Keeping the whole process in-house lets us hold quality at every step and take cloth all the way to a finished garment without handing it to an outside factory.
Three ways to buy
Shop cotton fabric by the yard, choose finished ready-to-wear, or commission made-to-order production for your own label. To see how we choose our cloth and colour, read our sustainability page.
