Kaftans
Our hand block print cotton kaftans are easy, throw-on pieces cut from 100% cotton and printed by hand in our own Jaipur studio. Each kaftan carries a different floral story — turquoise blooms framed by striped and botanical borders, rust brown florals with panelled edges, soft mauve and mustard botanicals, coral pink florals with geometric trims, and saturated coral red maxi prints — so no two pieces in the rail feel the same.
What makes them distinctive is the craft: carved wooden blocks stamped by hand using azo-free, water-based pigment dyes, with borders and motifs aligned panel by panel. Because the printing is done by hand, slight variation in placement and colour between pieces is part of the character, not a flaw. The cotton is breathable and gets softer with every wash, which is exactly what you want in a kaftan.

Frequently asked questions
- Every kaftan in this collection is made from 100% cotton. The cloth is light and breathable, which suits the loose kaftan silhouette and makes these pieces comfortable in warm weather, on the beach, or at home.
- The prints are made by hand using carved wooden blocks and azo-free, water-based pigment dyes in our in-house unit in Jaipur, India. Because each motif is stamped by hand, you'll see small, natural variations in print placement and colour between pieces — that's a normal part of hand block printing.
- First wash cold and separately, as a little excess colour may rinse out on the initial wash. After that, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, line dry in the shade to protect the colours, and warm-iron on the reverse of the fabric.
- Yes. The lightweight 100% cotton and relaxed kaftan cut make them easy to throw on over swimwear as a beach cover-up, or wear as a standalone summer or maxi dress for resort days and warm evenings.
- Yes. We offer wholesale and trade pricing of up to 40% off with a minimum order of 5 units, and we also take on CMT and private-label production from our Jaipur unit. Payment terms are 30% advance with the balance settled before dispatch.
