How to Tie a Sarong: 6 Easy Ways to Wear It

A sarong is the most versatile thing you can pack. Ours are hand block printed 100% cotton — light, quick-drying and big enough to wrap, tie or drape a dozen ways. Here are six to start with.

1. The classic wrap skirt

Hold it behind your waist, bring both ends to the front and knot at the hip. Adjust the height for a mini or maxi.

2. Strapless beach dress

Wrap it around the chest under the arms, tuck or knot at the bust line. Instant cover-up over swimwear.

3. Halter dress

Hold it behind your back, cross the top corners over the chest and tie behind the neck.

4. One-shoulder

Wrap around the body and knot the corners over one shoulder for a draped, toga-style look.

5. Scarf or shawl

Folded long, it’s a lightweight scarf for cool evenings or a layer over a plain dress.

6. Head wrap or bag tie

Folded into a band it doubles as a head wrap, hair scarf or a tie around a tote — it folds down to almost nothing, so it travels everywhere.

Browse the prints in our sarongs & pareos collection — each is one of a kind.
